MARINO RESTREPO TESTIMONY
FRIDAY, AUGUST 20 - SLIGO CATHEDRAL
Please note that Marino Restrepo, often referred to as a ‘ST. PAUL FOR THESE TIMES’, will give his Testimony on Friday, August 20 at 8.00 p.m. here in the Cathedral.  This once famous musician and actor had a wonderful encounter with God during 6 months of captivity at the hands of FARC Rebels in Columbia, and now speaks powerfully of his experience.  All are most welcome.

FRIDAY NEXT - FIRST FRIDAY
Friday next, August 6 is the First Friday of the Month.  Mass will be celebrated at 7.00 p.m.  All are encouraged to attend this Sacred Monthly Celebration.

ELPHIN DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO KNOCK – AUGUST 15
Come and join with all the pilgrims from the Diocese to Knock Shrine on SUNDAY, AUGUST 15. The Ceremonies begin at 2.30 p.m. with the Anointing of the Sick followed by concelebrated Mass at 3.00 p.m.   If a member of your family is in care or in a Nursing Home please try to bring them along  as they may have fond memories of this particular Pilgrimage.   Come and join in this year’s Pilgrimage on August 15 and give all your family a new memory of Knock Shrine!

The priests of the parish are always happy to visit the sick in their homes or in hospital.  The sick may wish to receive Communion or the Sacrament of the Sick.  Renewed regulations at the hospital have made it more difficult for priests to know who is in hospital.  If there is a sick person who would appreciate a visit please contact one of the priests or Tel: 9162670 during office hours.
