SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE

Three months notice is required for weddings and the Cathedral Booking Form is available on request. However, we would recommend to couples who become engaged and have arranged a date for their wedding, to contact your local priest as soon as possible and let him know the arrangements. Certain times of the year can be busy for marriages and so it would be wise to book the church well in advance.

Couples are requested to do a Pre-Marriage Course soon after they become engaged, as couples gain most if such a course is done well in advance. As well as covering other topics, information concerning the ceremony will be given, and any questions couples may have would be addressed.
